Solution Architect

Description
Solution Architect in the nerve centre of the SI delivery that owns the SI solution end - to - end and architects a detailed solution design document. This document is used by the Solution Integrators to deliver the solution to meet the customer and developers requirements to meet the customer specific adaptations.
This Solution Architect needs to have breadth of the solution domain. He shall also identify scope creeps and document the same during the project. He shall also be the Solution Life Cycle Manager of implemented solution.
This role demands positive mind-set, system design, development and hands on delivery experience in respective areas of expertise mentioned in qualifications section with a perspective of blending Telecom practices with the IT with an end-to end approach to solutions.

Job Requirements

Strong knowledge in GPRS SGSN+GGSN packet CORE Networks.
Must have 5 years of post qualification experience
Must be able to independently validate and implement IP packet backbone networks
Must have strong knowledge of IP networking, experience on working in routing platforms from reputed vendors Cisco/Juniper/Redback and L2/L3 switches from multiple established vendors.
Knowledge and Experience of designing/implementing/managing IP/MPLS based network.
Knowledge of Basic Network Security and experience of working with at least 1 security product.
Should have understanding of end-to-end view of a network and should be capable of being the solution owner.
Familiar with SUN servers and Solaris
Familiarity of NTP, Radius, DNS, LDAP.
Familiar with design concepts related to IP backbone such as IP addressing plan, Routing, Security, Switching, Tunneling, VPNs, layer -2 concepts such as VLANs, COS
Must be a team leader and mentor to drive the team to deliver the solution as designed.
Must be able to supervise and lead sub contractors/partners.
Must possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Understand the e-TOM model for operators to work with their business logic
Must be self motivated, Self Driven and driven by desire to succeed at all costs. Also, must be passionate about technology and learning new concepts.
